After School Club

After School Club (childcare)

The club offers a range of interesting and fun activities for children after school, with the emphasis on play. These include arts, crafts, cookery, soft football, games, films and reading as well as various outings during the year to local parks and shops.

Membership is offered mainly, but not exclusively to children attending Westbury‑on‑Trym CE Academy. The club operates an Equal Opportunities Policy. It aims to offer multi‑cultural activities seeking to promote, through play, harmony and understanding between children of all ethnic and cultural backgrounds. In recruiting Play workers, applications are encouraged from all sections of the community.

The club meets each week day after school until 6:00 pm at school.

Responsibility for the running of the club rests with you, the parents and carers, and is overseen by a voluntary parent committee. The day to day activities are organised by our Play workers who offer a wide range of skills and experience in working with children. However, in the near future parents will be invited to spend at least one day working at the Club to get a feel for its running.

The fee for one child per session is £9.50, with a small reduction for three children from the same family booked on the same day. There is an annual registration fee of £10 per family.  For up to date costs please contact the Club Administrator.

To register, contact the Administrator Kate Plessier at  with your child’s full name and date of birth.  Your details will be added to an online booking system, which will allow you to set up your own password to access your account.  You can then add contact numbers and health information.  Once you have registered you may choose which sessions you would like to book.  Bookings are made on a first come first served basis.  If you would like any further information about the Club then please contact the Administrator.
